The Gold Coast Dante Alighieri Italian
School began in 1989 with 2 teachers and 20 students at Bond
University.
In 2011, we have grown to over 140 students
and now based at our permanent rooms to the rear of the
Italo-Australian Club, Clear Island Waters.
Our teachers are native speakers or of
Italian descent.
Through a variety of guided communicative
activities, they will help you to develop the ability and
confidence to communicate effectively in spoken and
listening skills.
You will be able to develop good
pronunciation, stress and intonation. Allowing conversation,
guided and free, is an integral part of all classes.
Specific conversation classes are also available to
concentrate specifically on oral work.
The use of authentic texts and practice in
writing complement and enhance further comprehension and
communication. Grammar is an integral part of all the
courses.
At the completion of each semester, student
will receive a participation certificate which will be
presented to them at an end of semester dinner or at the
final class.
The Dante Society, the school and its
teachers will guide and assist you in your endeavours to
deepen your proficiency however the learning and the rate of
learning are up to you
